There are times when I feel so overwhelmed with all of my responsibilities that I become almost paralyzed, actually unable to focus on the tasks at hand.
I fear that I am not alone in this. A good friend recently left a gift for me at the office I work out of with a note attached that said, “I’m sorry for being such a busy person.” We had been trying to get together for two months and I completely understood. She’s a single mom with a full time job, Church and organizational duties, an aging parent who luckily is quite healthy so far, and blessed with many friends who also make demands on her time.
I’m trying to kick start a second career, midway into my first. I have farm responsibilities, home duties, an aging parent as well, and sometimes have to put time for friends on my calendar in order to work them in. Yikes!
I suppose it is better than being bored, and I have always been one to try to wring as much as possible out of every waking minute. And, believe it or not, I was actually trying to find a local French class or tutor online last night. Now where would I fit that in? Oh well! I’ve heard it said that if you want to get something done, ask a busy person to do it. I suppose many hats qualify you for many jobs. Now if I can just squeeze in a little French beret…

You hide your “overwhelmedness” well, but I guess that’s the job women have, the cause or the result of the multi-tasking brain. 😉
Did you ever get the link to my French tutor’s website? I see her in local classes, but she does Skype tutoring all over the world:

That is a great idea and I have bookmarked the site. I’m getting a new computer system soon and a faster internet service, then I’ll be be better able to participate in skype and webinars. My equipment is just soooo outdated that it is ridiculous.
