Today is the French National Holiday akin to our own Independence Day Celebration. Fireworks, parades, picnics, parties, and lots of wine will help our European friends celebrate the storming of the Bastille Prison in 1789 and launching the Revolution.

Just as we refer to our Independence Day as ‘The Fourth of July’, ‘le quatorze juillet’ is the more common French title for The Fourteenth of July.

Another party for the people in shades of red, white and blue!

So let’s toast to our French friends today as they honor their own independence!
