Karma

Do you believe in karma – the acts and energy that you put out in the world being returned to you?

F. Paul Wilson said, “Your believing or not believing in karma has no effect on its existence, nor on its consequences to you. Just as a refusal to believe in the ocean would not prevent you from drowning.”

In ‘The Power of Soul’, Zhi Gang Sha said, “Karma is the root cause of success and failure in every aspect of life.” And, “Bad karma is the spiritual debt one has accumulated for one’s mistakes from all previous lives and this life. It includes killing, harming, taking advantage, cheating, stealing, and more.”

In ‘The Path to Attainment’, Mark and Elizabeth Prophet said, “We will recognize that karma is actually grace and beauty and joy.”

Even John Lennon of Beatles fame said, “Instant Karma’s gonna get you, gonna knock you off your feet.”

Neil Patrick Harris, actor with success at an early age, explained it as allowing good things to happen by living within positive outlooks. “Karma opens itself up to you and allows for more growth.”

Oprah says, “If you want your life to be more rewarding, you have to change the way you think.” She also maintains that what you sow, you reap – a Biblical quote for sure! And, “The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude.”

You may call this whatever you like; the secret, law of attraction, karma, spiritual debt. But it is the same concept in every language and religious practice.

“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!” Thank you Audrey Hepburn for those wise words.

And thank you to my good friend Paula Eller who reminded me today that I live in such a way that everyone knows I won’t sacrifice moral and ethical beliefs for a temporary indulgence or satisfaction. Perhaps that’s why I have been blessed with such good friends!
