Joy

Gretel has discovered water sports and it has been giving her much joy.  We get enormous pleasure just watching her test herself in the side creek and then run into the reeds in the shallow water.

Splashing about does for her what it sometimes does to us – water in the ears!

But she doesn’t like to leave and will try to drag us back to the pond by our pants legs.

And even that gives us joy.

  1. Hi,
Fantastic photos, and she is definitely enjoying herself. it wonderful when you have areas like this that the dog can enjoy.
Our dog also loves swimming in the creek, but we have her on a long rope for 2 reasons. There is a 50 – 50 chance that there may be snakes in the long grass and also we can be fined for having her off lead. 😀

  2. Renee Gretel is very lucky to have such a big area to play. There is nothing gives much pleasure than watching these innocent souls in animal skins to play. Sometimes they just behave like a child. They just do what ever they want; with out much caring about our reactions. 🙂
I am also planning to post something like this with my cats photographs & video in my blog.

  3. High paw from the German! (She’d leave a comment but is too busy rolling in the grass as kicking her feet in the air, too). Looks like it was a great day. Dogs really know how to enjoy spring. (We also keep her on a rope when we let her dance along the sandy shore and water along the bay – alligator season)

  4. Gretel is a beauty! I love that she has a place to explore and play. We take our pups over to Coast Guard Island every weekend. The have huge grassy areas to run on and the Bay to swim in. They chase birds and look for “critters”. I love letting them run free and they love it too!

  5. Great photos! I like your subject for “joy.” Although many people and things have brought joy to my life, pets do it in such a simple way. They are charming and funny and loving…pure joy! ~ Sheila

  6. There’s no joy like doggie joy! I’m trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge Blogs this month.
